Another day, another major celebrity hair reveal. Between Hailey Bieber’s blunt cut and Zendaya’s curly bob, it seems like everyone is opting for shorter cuts these days. And with summer fast approaching, you can understand why: there’s something laid-back, low-maintenance, and refreshing about a big chop, so it’s unlikely that bobs—which we predicted as one of the top hair trends of this summer—will disappear anytime soon.
The latest superstar to unveil a shorter cut? None other than model, knitwear designer, and stylish mom, Gigi Hadid. On Thursday, Hadid shared photos from the latest Miu Miu project, featuring what might just be the next cult bag in the luxury world (but more on that later) and a bold new haircut.

Hadid’s hair, which she usually keeps long and wavy, is now somewhere between a bob and a lob in length, with super crisp edges. That’s not to say you can’t take inspiration from Khai’s mom’s cut for your next hair appointment.
To go with her unusual and quirky hairstyle, Hadid wore a bright purple cardigan set (one of Miuccia Prada’s signatures), a white tennis miniskirt, and a simple black belt for the Miu Miu project. The true star of the outfit, however, was her red crescent-shaped bag with quilted stitching. The campaign, shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, was inspired by artist Margaret Keane, whom you probably know for her famous big-eyed children paintings, or the film Big Eyes starring Amy Adams, which traces the artist’s life and work.
Between serving street style and discussing Taylor Swift’s bolognese recipe, Hadid has been very present on the red carpet lately. Most recently, she wore a sand-colored fishtail gown, reminiscent of her sister Bella’s similar fuchsia dress. And while it’s unclear if her new cut is permanent, it’s a fun step in Hadid’s style evolution.
